Here’s a bit about me…
I grew up living in the spaces between cultures, on the edges, holding opposites.
Born during Apartheid to white South African parents, my father worked as a diplomat upholding governmental policies while my mother actively protested them.
We lived in Malawi, Germany, and Beverly Hills, returning to South Africa annually to visit family.
I was trained in etiquette, good manners, compliance, and being a “good girl.” At the same time, I was encouraged to question the status quo, change the system, and fight for universal human rights.
But I quickly learned that rules for “right and wrong” behavior depended on whose perspective you took and which culture you inhabited.
